Terms of Use

This agreement is between you, the person using the app, and Obsy Mobile LLC, which develops and publishes it.

We grant you a right to use the app for personal purposes. You are not buying the app itself; you are obtaining a right to use it, and that right cannot be transferred to anyone else.

You may not copy, distribute or sell the app, or offer it as part of a service. Modifications intended to bypass subscription checks also fall outside this right.

All sections of the app are unlocked by a single subscription. There are no separately purchased sections or add-on packs.

• Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store or Google Play, not through us.
• The current price is shown in the store in your own currency at the moment of purchase. That is why no figure is stated in this agreement.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of the period. To stop renewal you must cancel through your store account at least twenty-four hours before the period ends.
• If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current period; no partial refund is made for the remaining time.
• Your subscription is tied to your store account. On a new phone, sign in with the same account and run the restore step in the app.
• Prices may change. A change does not affect your current period, and the stores notify you separately.

Because purchases are made through the stores, refunds are processed by them; we have no authority to refund a purchase. For Apple, open a request at reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, through your order history in Play.

No content in the app constitutes a religious ruling. Prayer times and zakat calculations are informational; for a ruling specific to your situation you need to consult a qualified scholar.

• Prayer times are produced by calculation and vary with the method you choose. Small differences from the official times in your area are possible.
• The zakat section is a calculator. The final determination of your obligation rests with you.
• Answers in the "Ask a Scholar" section are generated by AI. They inform, they do not rule, and they may contain errors.
• Qur'an translations are translations and carry the translator's interpretation. That is why nine different translations are offered.
• The qibla direction relies on your phone's compass; deviation is possible.

The focus section locks the apps you choose for the period you set. You decide which apps are locked and for how long; you are responsible for the consequences of that choice.

We recommend not locking apps you may need in an emergency — phone, messages, maps, health. The app does not restrict that choice on your behalf.

• Use the app in accordance with applicable law.
• Keep your phone and store account secure.
• Do not write personal data, information belonging to others, or unlawful content into the "Ask a Scholar" section.

The app's software, design, and the "Niyet" name and logo belong to us. Using the app transfers none of those rights to you.

We claim no ownership over religious texts such as the Qur'an, hadith and supplications. Copyright in the translations, audio recordings and imagery used in the app belongs to their owners, and credits are shown inside the app. You may share images you generate in the app personally.

The app is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will operate without interruption or be free of errors. In particular, no warranty is given as to the accuracy of prayer times, qibla direction or zakat calculations; these are informational computations.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or a missed time of worship arising from use of the app. In any event our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability. In that case the limitations above do not apply to you and your statutory rights are unaffected.

If you breach these terms we may suspend or terminate your access to the app. You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app and cancelling your subscription.

If we decide to discontinue the app, we will give reasonable notice.

Under Apple's store requirements, the following also applies:

• This agreement is between you and us; Apple is not a party to it.
• Maintenance and support of the app are our responsibility; Apple has no such obligation.
• If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price. Beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for claims relating to product liability and compliance with consumer legislation.
• The defence and settlement of any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights is our responsibility.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and have the right to enforce its terms against you.

This agreement is governed by the law of the State of Wyoming, where Obsy Mobile LLC is incorporated. The courts of the State of Wyoming have jurisdiction over disputes arising from this agreement.

Rights granted to you as a consumer by the law of your country of residence, which cannot be excluded by agreement, are unaffected. If you reside in Türkiye, your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts; if you reside in the European Union, the rights provided by your own country's consumer legislation are not limited by this clause.

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of the page is refreshed with every change, and for a material change we notify you inside the app. For questions, write to support@niyetapp.co.
